Quick Start
Get OnionAI running in minutes. This guide walks you through sign-in, connecting your first integration, and asking your first question.
Prerequisites
- A GitHub account (for sign-in)
- Access to at least one security data source you want to query (e.g. Elasticsearch, NVD, or SpamAssassin)
1. Sign in
Go to the sign-in page and authenticate with GitHub. You’ll be redirected to your dashboard after a successful login.
2. Create a chat
From the dashboard, use the sidebar to start a new chat. Give it a title (e.g. “Threat check”) and an optional description. Each chat keeps its own context so you can organize work by topic or incident.
3. Connect an integration
Before querying data, connect at least one integration (e.g. Elasticsearch or NVD). Open Integrations to see supported sources and follow the setup steps for each. You’ll need endpoint URLs and credentials as required by the provider.
4. Ask a question
In your chat, type a question in plain English. For example: “Show me all critical CVEs from NVD affecting our infrastructure” or “Search Elasticsearch for failed login attempts in the last 24 hours.” OnionAI will use the connected integrations to answer. You can refine with follow-up questions in the same chat.
